ROVA Adventure Twenty-Three, February/March 2021
ROVA Adventure Twenty-Three is packed with the usual great stories, as well as insight into the lifestyle for any RV newcomers.
To those people who are just getting started: remember that there’s a lot to learn, and you might hit some hurdles. There’s figuring out the daunting dump station; understanding BLM camping and where to find it; learning campsite etiquette; leveling your trailer. There are catholes and bear boxes and bug repellent. But there is so much more than that: sunset hikes, hidden beaches, friendly faces and a ton of adventure.
In this issue, we share a few things that might help you on your journey, whether you’re a lifelong RVer or a complete newbie.
First-time van-tripper Patrick Long uses his debut experience to put together a guide to sleeping in strange places; we take a look at Class B motorhomes and why they’re rising in popularity; and we compare e-bikes to traditional bikes for your RV adventure.
Also in this issue of ROVA, we have families opening up about their time on the road, from teen traveler Makenna Peachey sharing her experience of living in an RV with her siblings and parents; to Maja Scheler reflecting on how life on the road has helped her three boys connect with nature and each other; and Engrid Barnett recounting the tale of an unexpected stowaway in the truck camper on her adventure.
